FVC expands IT Infrastructure & Security portfolio with BeyondTrust

FVC, a leading Value Added Distributor (VAD) in the Middle East & Africa (MEA), has expanded its IT Infrastructure & Security (ITIS) portfolio with the addition of a distribution agreement with BeyondTrust.

The agreement between FVC and BeyondTrust covers Middle East; East & West Africa; French-speaking Africa, & Levant regions; and offers the BeyondTrust approach to enterprise security and compliance: managing the data, privileges and vulnerabilities throughout the dynamic IT environment – enabling every type of organization, regardless of size or industry, to more easily achieve their business goals. BeyondTrust selected FVC because of its excellent reputation in the market and, probably most importantly for the company, its best in breed standard for technical ability.

General Manager for ITIS division at FVC, Harsh Thakkar, said, “As enterprises continue to invest in new technology to deliver on new platforms, security dominates these processes and it is important for us, as a progressive VAD, to evolve and expand our portfolio to deliver technologies that can help our partners and customers provide secure platforms. Our partnership with BeyondTrust fills this requirement. BeyondTrust solutions provide tremendous value for those in IT, security and operational roles.”

According to John Andrews, Director for Strategic Alliances and Channels at BeyondTrust, “In recent years, BeyondTrust has seen significant growth in the deployment of our Privileged Account Management (PAM) and Vulnerability solutions across the Enterprise space in the Middle East. This business has always been and continues to be supported 100% by our Reseller and System Integrator Partners. We are a 100% channel-focused organisation. What did become apparent was that we needed a true Value Add Distribution partner to help support the existing channel and also grow that breadth in geo and vertical alignment with our business model. The discussion around PAM and vulnerability, requires a distributor like FVC with the engineering capabilities to articulate and deliver that clearly to the channel. There are very few players in the market who offer that level of value add, where we need it most.”

FVC and its network of channel partners will be supported by BeyondTrust’s local team and its additional resources in Europe covering technical, maintenance, renewal and support issues. The partnership hopes to see considerable growth in the MEA market as the visibility around PAM continues to gain momentum.

Andrews added, “The recent reported high-profile breaches were all issues where a PAM solution and policy would have prevented the breach. We consider that in a market of reactive security technologies, where there is no such thing as 100% secure, we are the only vendor with a proactive solution set which assumes the worst can and quite probably will happen. When combining our PAM and VMS solutions into the Beyond Insight Management Platform to deliver our Intelligent PAM, there isn’t another single vendor in the market that offers that level of solution coverage. As we put it: Visibility, Control and Context.”

As a policy, FVC will support the agreement with a dedicated team within its ITIS team to provide hands-on training and technical support, from pre-sales to post-sales, for its partners across the region.
